Have you ever heard of Affinity Designer or even used it? Im curious if it is a good as it looks like.

Looks like an alternative to PhotoShop/GIMP, not Inkscape.

Photo-editing software and vector-editing software might both manipulate image formats but are really dissimilar and generally should not be substituted for one another.

do you mean affinity photo? it was the first product advertisement on this site, designer comes right afterwards, when you scroll down.

Yep, my bad. Looks pretty promising, actually, and probably better than Inkscape. Might be overkill looking at these features, though, if you plan on using it for map design.

Have you tried to make a map using Illustrator? Ik it has issues with SVGs but I'm curious as to whether WL maps rely on features that are easier to work with in Inkscape.
