For movies/TV shows: Amazon Prime Video is a nice bonus if you've already got Amazon Prime but most of the good selection does not come with Prime and you'll either have to buy a few channels (at which point you're already paying more per month than you would be with Netflix) or just start buying/renting movies/shows. If you've got the money, though, you can get a really solid selection of content that Netflix doesn't match. Bang-for-your-buck is still Netflix, though, especially since Amazon's original content is currently not as good (or at least as appreciated) as Netflix's, but Man in the High Castle, Tick, Grand Tour, etc., are all pretty good/promising and certainly worth a watch. If you're not selective about what you watch, Amazon Prime Video (+ Prime + Twitch Prime + all the other perks) is probably your best bet because you'll find at least something you'll like... but if you look for a specific TV shows or movies, odds are better with Netflix (if you want it for free) although optimal strategy is just to rent the channel on Amazon Prime Video. iTunes and Google Play have solid selection themselves but I don't think they've got quite the same bang-for-your-buck business models that Amazon and Netflix do.

It really just comes down to how frugal you are vs. how big of a selection you want.

I tried Google Voice for the first time, it's amazing. You get a free phone number in whatever area code you want and can make/receive calls and texts. I'm using it for Craigslist so I don't have to give out my number and I'm texting people online just like instant messaging. I'm sure I'll use this for lots of other things in the future. Only thing I can see that costs money is making international calls.

Amazon Prime Video

The fact that it uses the same horrible Amazon user interface makes me unwilling to even try to use it. I fucking hate all those links and clicks and searches, why can't they bring their design into the 21st century. Even Microsoft got with the program. Amazon still in 1999.
