Hello Everyone,

https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=64494

I humbly request players to help me test this new map with a very strategic game-play.The following are some important settings in point form. My object to create a balanced chess-like game-play and restrict the snowball effect where one player becomes dominant.

- World Map drawn with more realistic map projection
- Real-time game
- 6 player FFA (advanced level players)
- 69 territories
- 15 Bonuses
- Cities distribution - 6 territories/player to start (4 armies/territory)
- Neutrals - 2 armies/territory
- Special Neutrals - 1 territory in each bonus has 9 armies
- 9 territories are free lands with zero bonus
- Wastelands - random 3 x 15 armies
- Strategically placed cross-ocean connections
- Reinforcement card - 9 armies/6 pieces
- Emergency Blockade - 8 pieces
- Airlift card - 12 pieces
- Diplomacy card - 14 pieces
- Sanctions card - 16 pieces
- Income 4 armies/turn
- Local Deployments
- Light Fog

I'll help test. A few suggestions though:

    • Rename Bolivia as Peru.

    • Rename West Australia as Western Australia (since that's what it's called in real life).

    • Rename the America bonus as The United States of America, as America in itself is just the continent.

    • Make Egypt look nicer. Currently, Sinai is pretty much separated from the rest of Egypt completely.

Apart from that, it looks good.

Thanks for the great suggestions Clint. If I edit my map will the link change?

I'll just say that it's not how Germany looks like. You may want to rename that to Central Europe.

Good luck with your map :)

The link will only change if you create a new version. If you only update your map, the link stays the same.

Maybe this is a 1930's map.

Rename the America bonus as The United States of America
Yes, please stop being so US-America centric.

Can I also suggest that you change borders like the one between Pakistan and West China? It makes it hard to tell which territories connect.

    My territory connection rules

Territories that connect must have borders that connect side to side.
Territories that meet at a single point do not connect.

I did this to reduce/simplify the number of connections.

For example, Egypt connects to Sudan and Libya but not to Nigeria

But how would I, a random player, know that?

It is a simple problem to fix, especially if you don't have your bonuses separated.

Also, I think Kazakhstan and Colombia are spelled incorrectly (unless you spell them differently).

I checked google maps and wikipedia for Khazakhstan . it is Kazakhstan.

Also Colombia the country is spelled with an 'O'not with a 'U' as in British Columbia, Canada

Thanks, I appreciate you checking spelling.

It is recommended that the borders of territories in the same bonus overlap, whereas the borders of territories in different bonuses should be adjacent, so that players can tell at a glance which territories belong to which bonus.

At your map, the borders of all territories overlap, what makes it harder to tell which territories belong to which bonus, especially on mobile.

But next to that, I think you made a nice map.

Thanks Dutch Desire, you have a valid point especially for mobile. I would have to redraw the external bonus borders for that.
I personally liked the look of having all borders black though. Any other opinions?

You don't have to redraw the borders, just adjust the nodes.

The mercator map projection makes everything in the northern areas magnified. I adjusted the sizes to make them more realistic.
