I absolutely hate the strategy of sitting on one territory and stacking. After other players beat up on each other and spend their armies the stacker will start to bulldoze everything in his path. This makes for a very bad game.

How can I prevent stacking? There should be an option to limit armies per territory.

Army cap limits total armies and is somewhat effective but it does not prevent someone from putting all their armies on one territory. Is there anything else other than army cap?

Can somebody please add this feature in the settings.

A mod could probably take care of this by docking income based on stacks, and there's some other features (Local Deployment comes to mind) you could use to create barriers for stacking... but also, on the other hand, if you're this worried about stacking, you might want to read up a bit on strategy because it's not actually that effective against a good player (on strategic settings, of course... if you're playing an FFA lottery, then lol gg).

Thanks for the suggestions.I have been using army cap and local deployments. It does make a big difference.

But I would really be grateful if the Master of Mods would create this little Mod for me. Who is the ModMan? .............or ModWoman?

Master of the Dead and dabo1 (I probably misspelled that) are the most prolific mod-creators, so if you could convince one of them.

If you're familiar with basic programming, you could also create the mod yourself but you will only be able to test it on the Unity version of the game.

I could easily make a mod that resets the amount of armies on a territory if the armies on the territory is above a certain amount :)

A mod that will allow one to set the maximum allowable armies on any territory. For example let's say we have set maximum armies/territory to be 25. If any territory X has 15 armies, then we can only transfer a maximum of 10 armies into territory X. The mod should prevent one from transferring more than 10.

you'll easily run into stalemates with this though, as breaking an opponent will be super hard if you have only a single border

DanWL, you cannot do it for the moment or is it not possible at all?

that's possible currently working on it at least a maximum number of armies on a territory, setting a maximum number of armies to transfer from terr a to b is also possible to set (have a system for that), but I think its enough to set a maximum number of armies for a stack

mod is nearly ready, just a little multiplayer bug must be fixed, but SharK you can't use the mod anyway at the moment cause you haven't the membership

Just the auto redeployment of troops when the stack limit is reached makes problems cause it doensn't work always.

I have found that using stacks is not a winning strategy but rather a survival strategy and a great way to spoil other player's games. I would rather not encourage that style of play in my games. I would rather outwit my opponents than out-power them. Anyway its just my own preference.

Mod is ready and works nearly perfectly (has a little bug, you don't receive new card pieces)
