I was thinking it would be cool to have a map of Ancient India:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_talk:East-Hem_600ad.jpg

I thought maybe there is something in one of my maps that I could do with India to save time. There wasn't. But thinking about India got me looking at my maps, which got me interested in making a simplified version of Greater Middle East:

http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=12768

So here is a new map, SW Asia & NE Africa:

http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=28747

The original SVG of the Middle East map (http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=14763) was a complete mess (before Muppet adopted it and fixed it some). I would like to change the borders of this new map to make them clearer, but I don't know how to do it quickly. If anyone wants to help, I can email you the SVG.

well you have notes on the territories , by holding shift in you and clicking on these notes, you can move the borders

If it takes more than an hour I don't have time. My least favorite part about making a map is messing with the nodes. I already spent too many hours on that map.

I don't necessarily have to release this "new" map. I can keep it as a private map, if the borders aren't good enough, and wait until some day in the distant future when I have nothing to do and no energy to do anything productive. That is when I tend to mess around with WL maps.

Any suggestions besides colors and borders?

Missing connection:

West Turkmenistan <-> West Uzbekistan (In case you didn`t guess it: Turkmenistan & Uzbekistan bonuses)

Isn`t there a way to connect Sri Lanka to another sea territory or something. It is not bad the way it is now, but I`m not a fan of territories that have only one border.
Isn`t there a more "official" name for the `holy land`?

Thanks. One positive thing about territories stuck in a corner: if you have to kill the final enemy territory there, the enemy can force you to make a wasteful attack, which leaves the armies stuck far away from where they are needed. Then it becomes a psychological war: How much should I use to clear the enemy? What if he doesn't defend at all? How much should I use to defend? If I don't defend at all, he can have the bonus, but at the cost of his armies being on vacation in India for many turns.

I had conflicting ideas about strategy and bonuses, so I decided to make two maps:

Greater Middle East II: http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=28747
Greater Middle East III: http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=29158

They will be published whenever Fizzer decides to do it.

Thanks to Fridge, Timinator, myhandisonfire, Ribena, Unknownsoldier, dead piggy, Ruthless Bastard, Azazel, and The Duke of Ben for helping with testing. Any input you mentioned was considered.

Thanks. I checked a bunch of times but lacked patience for a methodical check.
