@Fizzer: Have you seen this?



I wasn't being entirely facetious, though. Web development in pure assembly is definitely possible, but it would take quite some time to build the libraries (assuming someone hasn't already built them from scratch). But to be able to get used to programming in x86 enough to pull that off- now that would be fun.

Haha, no, I had not seen it. I had to Google it to see if it was a real book.

Technically it shouldn't be hard. Write a console app in assembly that outputs "<html></html>" then point a webserver at it. Then just start adding features -- switch on the file being requested which can be passed in via a command line argument, etc.
