update: these symbols are going to tell how many armies the province is worth. They're gonna replace the numbers from the old map. The values are as following: Blue= lowest, Red=Highest

You could do an easily recogniseable colour-code with legend similar to the one on Issander's Strategic Africa.

no. That would require every province to have an extra thick borderline line just to identify its colour. Considering this map is around 2400 territories and I have limits in size and time this is unthinkable of. That's why I have came up with this. A color code from 1 to 50 whereareas every number has its own color. The symbols are only there to make it look aesthetically better because circles without symbols are ugly

the meaning of symbols are as following

1-10 : triangle
11-20: rectangle
21-30: circle
31-40: insignia
41-50: star

Instead of symbols could you just put dots in the territories? It would be less confusing for people playing the map, and you could tell how many armies are for each territory more easily.

How do you account for colorblindness?

I can only see a blue & four red/green in the example above.

Imaginos, how do you see bonus areas in normal maps? You can't expect him to tailor to the minority, this map is huge.

Map looks amazing so far. This may be a more personal desire of mine. But I'd love to see all the European microstates in the game. I've always enjoyed playing as them but maps that go beyond the scope of Europe never have them which dulls some of my interest for such maps. It'd be greatly appreciated to see nations like Monaco, San Marino and Andorra on the map if possible.

Either way, I've been really impressed by your map and interaction with the community, I wish you the best of luck on it!

I think it could work. Just have the microstates at the size of the tiny islands on the map. With Monaco you can have the circle partially on the water and only jutting a bit into France. Andorra would only stick out a bit into Spain and France and I don't think they'd cause any major problems being there.

Only ones that'd be a bit intrusive would admittedly be San Marino in Italy and Liechtenstein between Switzerland and Austria but I still hold out hope for it working out. At least with some of them if not
all

Oh and I found an error with your map. Heartland in Saskatchewan connects to Thompson in Manitoba even though they don't actually touch. Hope that helps.
