can any one tell me why when in a torny three players lost two games each why does one player get 1st the other 2nd and the third player gets third ??????? when same amount of games are won and lost

Not random. It uses head-to-head matches to determine the winner -- i.e., who won when #1 played #2.

Only if the head-to-head matches tie does it revert to random.
