http://tinyurl.com/infinite-nostalgiaThought it would be fun to create a league to test out the CSL framework. This is a seasonal ladder that starts May 14th at midnight GMT and stops creating games exactly two months from then. You'll need to complete just 8 games to receive a ranking, and new games will be created up to every 2 hours.
To join, you need a boot rate <20%, a level of at least 10, and an account that's at least 30 days old. You will be automatically removed from the league if you start a vacation longer than 3 days or if you're offline for more than 3 days. You have to join before midnight GMT on July 7th (a week before the league stops creating games).
Ratings will be based on the TrueSkill algorithm, and there's an inactivity penalty of 5 points every day you're inactive in the league after joining (just to encourage people to stay). You can find more information by heading to the URL above.
This isn't a standard 1v1 ladder. There will be 1v1 games, but you may also be automatically paired to create teams of 2 or 3 (ratings are individual, though). Also, the
templates haven't been decided yet and I'm also open to mods who're interested in helping me run this (and potentially taking care of the template decisions themselves :P). Finally, remember that the CSL framework is still in alpha and we're just as likely to create a tiny black hole somewhere near Fizzer's servers as we are to actually play this all out without any bugs. That's okay, though- I'll stay on top of things and tackle bugs as soon as they're reported!
With that out of the way, here's how you can join, leave, drop templates, and do whatever else you want :)
These
have to be properly lowercase and enclosed in

tags. You can find more information at the CSL wiki:
https://github.com/knyte/cslbot/wiki/Orders#normal-orders. Also, if you've got a team name or some other item that's longer than one word, enclose it in double quotes (" on both sides).
adding teamsadd_team Seasonal <team name> <limit> <your warlight ID>
Your team name can be up to 15 letters long (don't use emojis or it won't go through; Google Sheets does not play nice with them). Your limit can be up to 15.
changing your limitset_limit Seasonal <team name> <limit>
renaming your teamrename_team Seasonal <team name> <new name>
Note that you can't copy another team's name or it won't go through. :P
dropping templatesYou're allowed to drop up to 10 templates in this league and never have to play on them. (You can also veto templates by voting to end/all-declining a game, causing it to be remade on a new template).
Just use the drop_templates command:
drop_templates Seasonal <team name> <template names>
And if you change your mind, there's always:
undrop_templates Seasonal <team name> <template names>
quittingIf you feel like you're done, just use:
quit_league Seasonal
If that wasn't clear enough, here's some quick demonstrations:
add_team Seasonal "knyte club" 10 3022124041
set_limit Seasonal "knyte club" 5
rename_team Seasonal "knyte club" knyte
drop_templates Seasonal knyte template "another template"
undrop_templates Seasonal knyte template "some other template" "and yet another"
quit_league Seasonal
:) Thanks for alpha-testing! Feel free to suggest templates (or yourself as a mod) too.
EDIT: If you edit your posts after you've already submitted Orders, the new ones will probably not go through. At each pass, the bot only checks for new Orders. You're good if you're one of the first 5 posters to this thread, though, since the bot doesn't start checking until there's at least 5 unique authors.
