No, your surrender was okay because he had 46 armies and you had only 23.

For the last 2 turns, you saw him delpoy 13 and for the turn before that you saw him deploying 17. Don't assume your enemy is doing something spactacular behind the fog, more times than not, your enemy deploys all on the front lines, so you get a good sense of their income.

Some pros like to play sneakily behind the fog, which has it's advantages, but also its disadvantages.

In general, if you see 17 income one turn, then break a 4 bonuses and see 13 income on following couple turns, you should assume your enemy is deploying all on the front lines.

First: quite a good game, you are definitely not a rookie anymore Kantos :-)

But: why did you thought he had america central and all west China, if he had in turn 10 income of 17 armies and in turn 11 ( after you busted his bonus of 4 ) income of 13 ?

But I think that you could describe the situation when you surrendered as a draw, with slight advantage for Widzisz(If he managed to kill you fast in Asia you would be in deep trouble and the income advantage you had in turn 12 would be only temporary).

You know what I do when, I see myself in a hopeless situation? Before surrendering ,I do a charge of the Light Brigade :-)

information is highly important in battle.. applying all your armies on the border every, or near every, turn can be a fatal mistake..
if he had been playing 16 instead of 17 every turn.. then you broke his 4, and he played 13, you would take that as an assumption he had had a greater income, and would further demotivate you from continuing...
sometimes your first move is not of utmost importance.. or you have locations you are holding without absolute need for entire immediate reinforcement, so you can apply a 1 behind the scenes and move it forward, as though it were armies from capturing bonuses etc. which would descend the visible display of troops without actually depleting the use of troops..
