Some territories that dont border each other with the connections border each other in the preview as well. I tried erasing these connections to no avail.

This is pretty worrisome considering how far along this map is, I really don't want to start over!

The so called "glitch territory" in the corner is the location that the territory centers are stored until you assign them. Having it appear like that is completely normal until you designate the center of every territory. Once you've done that, it should be gone.
