Hello,

I've been on a risk binge since last week. I'm eager to unlock all the features and maps via single player. The level I'm on at the moment "Caesar's Challenge", is pretty much impossible. Before you ask, I have used the search function and used every strategy recommended by other users in previous posts pertaining to this level. I have been able to reach the Partha boss, but lose as I don't have enough to defeat due to it cannibalizing my bonuses on the way to it. I suspect that the AI might have also been updated as the strategies recommended don't seem to work anymore. I am desperate. Please, has anyone been able to get past that level very recently?

In the past the boss was always revealed so you could see if he was coming and surrender early if need be. That certainly has changed which surprised me.

I beat it today to see if it was harder. I seems so, because the Italy AI seem more likely to get aggressive over France than I remember and that gives the east AI enough time to have a huge income around 100. There's nothing you can do to prevent that if the Italy AI doesn't pressure him in your run. That makes taking him a miserable drawn out affair, though your income should be around 140ish so it should be doable if you're skilled against AI.

My first run today, the boss left Italy for France and I had to surrender. If that happens there's no hope, you just got RNG screwed. Usually the boss stays in Italy, with any luck he goes East. For my second run which I won, he just stayed in Italy or backed up from my advances.

It took me 42 turns, and I knew I had won around turn 18 but I figured I'd finish it off to be sure. This level really sucks! I'll never play it again. But it's not the hardest game I've ever played, not even close really. Keep trying I guess.

All you need to do is to understand AIs' mechanics and basics of the game. First of all, I would recommend you to learn about orders' priority (when to attack with a first/last order). You can beat this challenge easily with only this knowledge, the more advanced method would be to use delay moves (the technique which makes your last attacks to be very last). These are the tips for every single player level, if you understand the basics of the game, then you could beat AIs in a few tries.
