Hello!

Every week we vote on 5 maps, and the map with the most votes becomes the map of the week for the following week.

Both Star Wars maps are good but I think A Galaxy Far Far Away wins this. Big Apple is also pretty good for it's simplicity.

MotW

Am I the only one reading this as "Master of the Week"?

On topic: although I'm personally not a big fan of this week's selection, I'm very happy to see that the number of new maps is now more than 4 per week on average, meaning this concept won't run out of maps unless there is a slowdown again.

I do not know why, but I voted for apple map. Might be the reason, that I eat on average 10 apples per week. Until I do not see Galaxy map that uses maximum number of territories possible - I wont vote for it. I just cant.

I saw the maps and jumped out my window, but I forgot to let go of my Laptop, so I figured I'd inform you that I voted for the bigger Star Wars map while I wait for an Ambulance.

Ah, I forgot to warn you. Most of our communication for Blitz in CL has been done via the Apple map.
Beware!

Not every map is appropriate for use in a 4xFFA. This is the biggest problem with the Map of the Week competition, as there are many excellent maps that are terrible on the default MotW settings.

I personally believe it would be far more effective to allow maps to compete in the MotW with their own customizable settings, or even have a Template of the Week competition.

I don't like any of these maps. The last is such an eyesore, I don't know how it ever got a 4.0 average. The Star Wars maps though, look like the creators put effort into them, and when you base something on real geography or on an established franchise, there are limitations, and staying true to Star Wars is at least respectable.

There's no excuse for bad fantasy maps that don't have established franchises.

Unfortunately, I hate Star Wars. I just respect the map creators. So I'm not voting.

have a Template of the Week competition.

thought that many times.

one could also follow the other - elect motw, then next week decide on the best template for it, then feature it on autogames.
