I've heard of some players with as many as 40 alts and most top players i've heard of have a couple alts themselves. I don't really understand what is the point of all those alt accounts. Can someone explain?

The ones with 40 are FFA farmers which use alts to pump stats and points.

The ones with 2 or 3 like moi, use them sensible for a casual game's. I guess.

Oh ok, I head Gnuffone (sorry if I spelled that wrong) has around 40 alts but he doesnt seem like an FFA farmer.

I have 4, but I don't use them at all, 2 accounts I am sitting on ATM.

Ask the people who like to remain anonymous and post hilarious obscenities on the forums...that is pretty much the only other time you would want an alt.

I have one. I use it when I don't want to speak to people or practice my strat 1v1.

Haha do all ladder elitists and regulars have at least one? It's like WarLight is supported by alts xD

1) To play anonymously. Its often easieer to play a good player when they dont know who you really are, and assume you are some silly noob (etc myhand)

2) So that you can play team games on your own. teammates are often silly fools, with alts you can play with your own ideas (etc gnuffone)

3) So that you can plant it into another clan as spy, to give you information so you can contain your sissy wars on the forum (etc JSA)

4) To troll, so that you can mock other people, but you can still (appear to be) friends with them on your main account

etc. is not what you want to use Brain. maybe i.e.? (in example) but i rather like #2 that is a clever idea to use alts. (don't have any alts my self)

In despising and loathing Jay, Brain has become Jay, only he's much, much worse. That being said, you're overruled. If Brain says that's why people use alts, he is correct without doubt.
