oh yeah, i forgot to mention reasons 2 and 3:

2: an ex-gf used to call me this. i intentionally only treated her well 75% of the time, bc she refused to take the necessary action for our relationship to take the next step. (she meant 'demon')

3: [Guiguzi](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guiguzi): possible teacher of sunzi & founder of the school of diplomacy in ancient china.

"Maugrim" comes from C.S. Lewis's "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe," one of my favorite books series growing up. He is a wolf and I've always loved wolves, and I got to play his part in a play I did in high school.

Dr. TypeSomething

When I got an invitation to play a game here, I had no idea I would actually play more than one game ever, and didn't really care about my name. I am terrible at coming up with names, and decided I needed to type something, so I put "TypeSomething". Over a year and many games later I got my doctorate, so I decided to be the classic annoying doctor and add Dr. to the front of my name.

[WM] Nord
Level 56
Report
I use it almost everywhere online since I was about 13.
It is from a fantasy book (Hungarian one, you probably never heard about it), it was a name of a wizard, who destroyed a whole continent with a spell, but became a god in the process.

I only got to know it later, that it means north in many languages, and it is often referencing to nordic cultures.

Armour, it looks better with a u because that's how armour is spelt ;-)

Mental, armor is definitively without an u, get a dictionary! I saw two errors in your post above!

Moros, lots of words are have a "-our" instead of "-or". Armour (armor) is one of them.

British vs American spelling Moros.

Back on topic, I remembered playing with an Ace Windu on Conquerclub about 4 or 5 years ago so I just decided to use that.

Yeah I stole my name, what're you gonna do about it?!

Ugilick

Uglúk was the leader of the Uruk-hai that captured Merry and Pippin at Amon Hen. He was one of the largest and strongest of the Uruk-hai and was a fierce fighter, managing to dismount Éomer and nearly kill him.

Many moons ago I tried to use his name online, obviously it was taken. I played with the letters until I got, ugilick. I've used it ever since. Only one person has ever figured out where it came from.

Well, if Britains spell it with an u, then I go with that, I like British English more than American/Australian English.

Oh, and to stay on topic: I named myself after the Greek god of doom, but I wanted to make me named after the god of victory, since that fits better. But since the Greek god of victory is Niké, I thought many people would think I chose it just because of the shoes, and I don't like Nike's shoes :)

I began playing Counter Strike (run off the half life engine) when I was about 6 years old. I thought I was really cool so I picked the name Assassin Of The Year. I joined a clan called "The Noob School." We played for a while and eventually everyone except me quit for other games (or real life.) I decided to pay tribute to my friends of about 10 years by changing my name to NoobSchool, in hopes one might play the same game as I do at some time and we could get back in touch. It eventually stuck and now I enjoy trying to take noobs to school.

Phew that was long winded.

This is an unusual IGN for me, but I am a socialist sympathizer of sorts (but not a socialist, nor a communist). It also looks pretty cool when "thecommunist," with red territories, takes over the real-world Eastern Bloc.
