If you go to a ladder, it says "there are currently (x) teams on the ladder", while showing the top 10. If you hit "Show All" then it shows all the ranked teams, plus (y) teams. These teams may have not played the ladder in years. For example, on the 3v3 ladder, there are 34 active teams. If you hit show all, it shows 289 teams on there, and I have no idea what the sort is on the unranked teams.

Suggestion 1: Don't show any teams that have no unexpired games. Why are these listed on the ladder page at all? People can still retrieve these through their profile anyway. Why is the first page showing teams that have not played the ladder in years?

Suggestion 2: Sort the unranked teams that are participating in the ladder, by rating. It should say "not ranked", team, rating.

I didn't check, but TeamID makes most sense.

Disagree. Everyone doesn't list them in their profiles. There should be a public record of these teams.

I prefer the ranking system used in MDL.
Ranked players > Unranked players active on the ladder(sorted by rating) > Unranked players not active on the ladder(sorted by rating)

If you want to show all, fine. But I would add a set to your order motd:

Ranked players >
Unranked players active on the ladder(sorted by rating) >
Unranked players not active on the ladder but with 1+ unexpired game(sorted by rating) >
Unranked players not active on the ladder(sorted by rating)

@Rento - yeah, there are some VERY easy things to do that Fizzer just won't do. There is no reason NOT to do that, but he disagrees and we can't do anything about that. I really don't like that we have no AI option on ladders. If you played well enough and have gotten far enough ahead in a game to win WITH an AI, then you deserve to win that game. Fizzer believes that if someone is booted, you should just lose. I believe you should get a handicap (the AI). But again we can't do anything about that, even if %100 of WL users agreed.

This change I proposed here seems like something he would certainly agree with, but I don't know. We aren't talking about a gameplay change, just making the ladder page more useful to everyone.

Yeah that's fair. There is no concept of game expiration on MDL, so I didn't need that additional option :p

I'd make teams with no unexpired games be sorted alphabetically, it'd be much easier to find someone specific when looking.
