1v1 #2 and 1v1 #3 start date Januari 11th 2pm GMT
1v1 #4 start date Januari 14th 2pm GMT
Rule changes:
There will be a few changes in the rules from previous season.
1. 1v1 wins give 2 points, 2v2 wins give 3 points and 3v3 wins give 4 points
2. The number of 1v1 tournamens will be decreased from 5 to 4
3. Only 1 player on a team is allowed to play 2 1v1 tournaments meaning you need at least 3 players for 1v1 games
4. Retirements will be changed fully on how it is handled and will be discussed in it's own section.
Captain's League Format:
Depending on the amount of sign-ups there will be a certain amount of teams competing in this competition. Each team has their own captain who gets the change to draft the other players who have signed up for the league.
Each team consists out of 1 captain, 7 members and 1 substitute in case of emergency.
The draft for the members and substitute will start after all the sign-ups have closed and will be done in a snake format where the order from will be randomly decided.
After the draft is done all templates which will be played and the players selected by the captain's will be announced in a live stream.
There will be a total of 7 tournaments, four 1v1, two 2v2 and one 3v3, which will be starting on different dates (specifics found in the schedule). Each team has to use their captain and all 7 members at least once and twice at most. There has to be at least 3 different players on the 4 1v1 tournaments as well.
1v1 tournament will always have 1 game ongoing at a time (exception is replacement games, ruling for this is in that section), but team tournaments will be different. If the amount of teams participating in the Captain's League is 6 or higher then team tournaments will have 2 games ongoing at a time while if it's lower there will only be 1 game ongoing at a time (exception for replacement games as well).
Discord server:
https://discord.gg/BPs4Zu2In here I will post announcements/updates, a chat channel for just me with all of the captain's and just a channel to talk with all of the other participants who are interested in joining the Captain's League.
Each team will get their own private chat on this server as well to communicate with each other for the duration of the season.
Joining the discord server isn't a must to participate but will be for captain's and their back-ups to communicate with me and each other.
Retirements:
Captain's or their back-up have to declare inactive players as retired in the designated channel on our discord server. After declaring a player inactive the team has 168 hours (7 days, 1 week) to announce who will be replacing the inactive player and on which template(s). For this they are able to use their substitute.
If the inactive players is in team games replacement games will be made from games which haven't had the distribution happen on the time of declaring the player inactive. Any newly created games from this point onwards from the tournament have to be surrendered by the team with a retirement.
Replacement games are only made when there is no possibility for any of the 2 teams involved to get more then 2 games ongoing at a time. For team games this means games are created when the other team has finished almost all of their games in the tournament before getting replacement games while 1v1 can always have a replacement game made at the point of declaring retirement.
A retired player can't come back into play in the same season but can join back in the season after if they can show they are really active again.
Template voting:
I will announce more rules in regards to this when we start the voting. Just saying all participants who signed up are allowed to vote for the templates which have been selected.
Sign-up rules:
every player can sign up to participate a member of this league for this season.
If you are interested in being a captain you can say this in your sign-up post as well. It would be great to have to have some additional information of why you'd like to be a captain as well. Captain's have to use Discord in order to be choosen.
Every player is allowed to submit templates in their sign-up post as well. You can submit 1 1v1, 1 2v2 and 1 3v3 template in your sign up using the following template:
