I think (I hope) performance issues will be resolved soon. I can tolerate them, for the time being, and for a week or so.
The general look, especially that of the "My Games" window, is not neat, though. This forum page, for instance, could be better - but it's worse than it used to be. Because I see too many colors on my screen right now: Grey with shades on two sides, then a green area which doesn't match with the shaded green banner on the top, then another separate area (the text box I'm looking at right now) where the major colors (red, grey, white) are unlike those on other parts of the screen. This is too much. I liked the minimalist black and red look of the forum.
And the "My Games" window (the "Multi-Player" window, so to say:
https://www.warzone.com/multiplayer?MyGames=1): Oh my gosh... It's too
loaded, don't you think so? Do we really need to see the icons representing the features of each game here? I'd rather seeing them when I'd like to (e.g., in windows that pop up when we hover over the respective maps). More importantly, the font color of the statement "Your turn for
x days
y hours", that is, red, is simply a wrong choice, given the background. That statement is quite important for me, I should be able to understand what's written there immediately - but what happens is, the
red vs. grey (font versus background) contrast is very disturbing, and it's not a good contrast, sufficient for immediate reading.
When I look at the My Games window, I remember the times we used to play games on 486's (the 90's, so to say). The visuals are unintentionally nostalgic! I can't say what makes me think this way, it's perhaps the overall color palette, the font choice, I don't know.
But this isn't a good feeling, I'm not intending to state something positive :) Let me be more blunt: This page simply looks amateurish (since it's been 20 years since the 90's). At best, it looks like a draft.
I'm completely optimistic, though. I'm pretty sure that the Warlight/Warzone design team will improve our gaming experience. These are the first steps of a new stage, of a new era in this game, and I know how hard it can get to satisfy the majority these days. It will happen, and I'm looking forward to it.
I'll write about the Android App and the game window itself, but I need some time for these.
