Sure, even if it's not hard for you, it seems to be annoying enough people that QM has a much longer wait than auto-games. Having to play through 9 games of cancer templates to unlock the baseline strategic template is not a good way to build up an initial userbase in your system.

I really wish Fizzer changes QM so that it starts with Strat MME unlocked (even if disabled so the newbie onboarding experience remains the same). Right now it's drawing a limited portion of skilled/old players, which slows down the matchmaking process and I think ruins it for newbies too. A beginner looking for their very first multiplayer game is probably not going to want to wait 5 minutes for a match.

I hardly waited for games to be created, in real time and if a player is regularly visiting the site, he can opt for MD games and don't have to wait till a game is created. Small earth templates aren't cancer templates and i find it easy and quicker than MME auto games(trust me, I have played very long rt and md autogames).

I agree that starting with MME is better, since it has been in auto-game section for long time and is in 1v1 ladder too. About waiting, it will shorten when more players play it-not sure of statistics of how many are playing.
