QM by far. Great variety of templates, can veto whichever and however many templates I want and even propose my own. There also seems to be more people playing QMs so it's quicker to get a game.

Does QM not make the RTL redundant then?

QM is a matchmaking system with ratings using an unconventional algorithm and allowing for a lot of vetos. RTL is a proper ladder, or would be if the templates were changed.

Each has its place.

QM is for cowards! ;)

I agree RTL needs to be modernized, but in general I think its the more exciting concept. QMs are a very nice addition though.

I also believe there should be one QM tempate which makes you join the RTL.

QM is actually better mainly because it is quicker to assign a match and the options to choose/veto templates is what attracts many players to it-compared to RTL.

Will RTL get modernized, especially since it is an Official ladder?

i'm currently on QM and not RTL

QM allows you to veto templates you don't like, RTL doesn't.

I honestly only joined QM to play enough games to unlock the good templates that i could play on realtime. but it turns out you keep having to play more to be able to submit your own and vote for more. i used to prefer realtime to multiday games and i mostly stopped playing realtime because of the long wait times to get competitive games, either on open games or the RTL. the RTL had a couple of the templates that i disliked or got tired of, so i stopped playing it. QM should be fixing those issues now, but i only played it realtime once while on beta, just haven't had time for realtime games lately, hope the wait time is lower then RTL.

only thing i don't like about QM right now is the forced 1 day boot time when the standard for multiday games has long since been established to be 3 days. you have to pay extra attention on dashboard which games are QM and which ones are not.
