In 2002 Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer recorded the Bob Marley song Redemption Song together. Strummer was a fan of Johnny Cash. Pretty amazing. Evidently Strummer was in town while Cash was recording and Rick Rubin suggested they do something together.

And so they did.
