I'm looking for people to help me test and improve this map:

It's my first map, so there are bound to be problems I haven't thought of.

Ideally I'd like to play people with an alt account so we can use the template https://www.warzone.com/MultiPlayer?TemplateID=1106378. My goal is to create a game which is brawly in the centre, but where it's viable to go for a big superbonus on the edge. But if you don't have an alt account, then 1v1 is good too.

P.S. I already want to change the value of the b2, g2, b7 and g7 bonuses to 2, so will override these bonuses. I can't change the map yet as I have one testing game in progress.

Interesting map. Haven't play-tested, but from looking on it, the promotion-super-bonuses should be nerfed a bit. Firstely, since having 1-8 gives a 18 super bonus, while back-rank mate only gives 16. Secondly, as 1-8 is split in two 9 bonuses, they are even more powerful.

I would love to have the pcises confirm to colors too (white/(smokey)black, or another good pair of colors) and that their respective superbonus colors reflected their on-board color. The map feels a bit chaotic in the center, with all the random shapes, but at least it's not a boring 1-territory for a box system :)

The Fianchetto bonus looks good? Is that really needed?

And in case it wasn't clear to you, it is a very nice map given that it's your first :) Well done!

EDIT: The scholars mate distribution looks a bit of. I would add a pawn on e5, and a Queen on h5. (Then keep or remove f7and f6 is up to you. Maybe just remove them?)

And sorry, I forgot to update the specialist distributions from an earlier iteration of the map, so there will be misplaced and even missing territories. They are only there as a bit of fun anyway, so please ignore them for now.

You may be right about fianchetto. I keep flip-flopping on it. The only way to find out is by playing some games on it.

Back Rank Mate is effectively worth 19, because it includes King of the Castle, however I agree that the balance might not be right. I'm reluctant to nerf the large super-bonuses because I already worry that play in the centre might be too brawly to be worth going for them.

Not sure what you mean about changing piece colours? I can change the colours of the background squares, the bonuses/borders, and the superbonuses, but the pieces will be the colour of the players who own the territories.

Any suggestions on how to improve on the many-islands look of the non-chess-piece bonuses would be welcome. It is incongruous with the chess theme, but it's the best approach I've come up with. A previous iteration was made up of circular territories with connectors (as is preserved in the h3 and e6 bonuses), but so many connectors was not nice to look at.

Just to say that I've decided to redesign the centre because I'm unhappy with its chaotic (to use Tbest's word) look. My current idea is to use outlines of countries that have produced a world champion, but this may change.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I will post here when my updated version is ready.

All feedback is vey much appreciated, but the best thing of all would be players who are willing to play games against humans (e.g. me) on it to assess whether it achieves its gameplay goals.
