http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=5486794Hi All,
I accepted a truce request, from player "Cmurda". Her proposal was "truce between me and you for now until brown ai and light orange East_ibsenia are gone?"
Player East_ibsenia later surrendered (which is not the same as "gone").
One of Warlight's settings is to accept surrenders. That setting is there for a strategic purpose (Warlight even informs you at the time of a surrender that it can affect the outcome of the game).
I needed the truce that Cmurda offered, and to which we both agreed, to last a few more turns. So I did not accept East_ibsenia's surrender request. It was a strategic decision, one that the game incorporates. It gave me time to increase my income -- a basic principle of the game.
Player "Cmurda" attacked me, inappropriately breaking our truce, before player East_ibsenia was, in her words, "gone".
We all know that we do not fully protect boarders with players where we have a truce. That was the case here. So Cmurda's attack was a game changer.
I asked Cmurda to vote to end. I gave her a way to make up for her mistake. She refused.
I asked Cmurda why this one game was so important, that it was worth her reputation. She wrote that, just as it was my choice to not accept East_ibsenia's surrender, it was her choice to break the truce (mind you, all truces are eventually ended -- but they are supposed to end based on what was agreed on).
Everyone should know that not only did Cmurda not hold up her end of our truce agreement, and refused to acknowledge any wrong-doing, but also refused my offer of "no hard feelings", to make things right, with a "Vote to End".
Cmurda should not be trusted. Her definition of a truce is to break it, as long as she can get away with it.
My final message to her was that I would post her actions to this board. She wrote that she is "crashing out. good luck". So this posting is not being done behind her back.
I am posting this so that her actions, which she assumed would be known only to me, are known to all.
Or, perhaps, my posting will shame her into doing the right thing.
Thank you, and see you on the battlefield!
