After WW1, the British colonized Palestine and a lot of Jewish settlers bought a lot of land in Palestine due to them wanting to own Palestine. After WW2, the Brits left, and the Jews took most of the land in Palestine, and they also expelled the Palestinians who lived there. Almost a million Palestinians were expelled during that time. As for now, Donald Trump is only adding oil to the fire by saying that Jerusalem is the capital of the Jews. It's really a sad state of affairs how things have been going on in the Middle East for the last 100 years. The weird thing, which I can't comprehend, is that a lot of people pretend as if Arabs are mad for no reason whatsoever, but when someone digs deep enough in reading about the history of that region, then surely it becomes very clear that the anger has been fueled for a very long time. Hence why there's a tiny minority who go to the extreme by committing suicide attacks, which is unfortunate, of course, but yeah, that's the result of interfering into a foreign region.

The Quran specifically calls for violence. ISIS and all other terrorist organizations have internal consistency in their philosophies. The comparison does not work for a few reasons.

1. The New Testament nullifies the rules of the Old Testament in a way. Jesus came to free the Jews from following the hundreds of rules given to them in the old books.
2. Islam gives specific instruction for its believers on how to build a state, and Islam necessitates that a state be Islamic, lest it be illegitimate. Therefor all rules in the Quran and Hadiths must be enforced by the state. This is not true for Christianity, in fact, the Bible actually advocates for a separation of church and state.
