And this is really off topic but remember an "Off-topic" thread where BF4 came up? Well, I was curious, wtf is [DICE]? Apparently they got some attention and I've been playing a lot of games using their server I guess? Anything interesting or did I just misunderstand something?

I love dice, they make really good games. Battlefield is their legacy, and THE most popular. Can't wait for then to finally put out star wars battlefront.

It's fun to talk about stuff other than warlight.

But their Rush maps are sh*t, no offence :P I'm more of an Aufklärer (sniper?) and Sturmsoldat (Infantryman?) and when it comes to [Dice] I feel like their games favor the worst of maps, but then again maybe I'm picking the wrong game type, maybe a suggestion? xD

@Hauptman, I agree, they may not be the best of maps, however they make up for it in other ways (ex. Vehicles). For comparison, you should try the Free-to-play battlefield. Absolutely horrendous. However, I'm not talking about Battlefield Heroes. That is actually a nice game made by origin.

Note: neither free to play is made by dice. Origin made them.

WARFACE-

This is an amazing free-to-play FPS that runs on the CRYTEK engine. It's very smooth, graphics are nice, and the weapon customization mid-game is a nice touch. The slide-and-shoot is another nice addition to the usual generic shooter game. Maps are not fantastic, and I've already encountered hackers in the last couple days, but I'll cut them some slack because it's still beta

Agreed. I play the game frequently now. The micro-transactions can be annoying, but it's only the Gamer's dream to have a completely free game :/
