Where to begin? I have been playing warlight for over two years and have recently achieved my goal that I made very soon after I joined warlight. It's been a long and bumpy ride, but I succeeded in the end. But this thread is not about my accomplishments, or what I did not accomplish. This thread is a way of letting the warlight community know I am retiring except for an occasional realtime game, many times I've tried to quit and failed. This time is different. I didn't want to quit, but I no longer feel enjoyment playing warlight and have finally realized how little warlight actually provides. It's not worth spending hours a day on it, it's best in moderation. Eventually, the time comes to say good bye to warlight. Luxis, huruey, monsenhor chachunq, szeweningen, and bishes are just a few that have done it, and my time has come. Never again will you hear my voice on the forums or see me on the opposing team in the championship of a tournament.
Some alt facts about myself. Yes, I was Austin. Yes, I was Poseidon. No, I am not green beret. Mike is not me either, but it actually was played by my brother. I think that about sums it up as far as the alts I've been accused of.
Thanks to all of you for the great memories on warlight! Everytime someone says brain, I will now think of pulsey, an asshole but also a very cool opponent and teammate. Everytime I hear of a dead pig, I will think of one of the strongest strategic 1v1 players to ever play warlight, and all the times he kicked my ass. Everytime I hear Italy, I will think of a great and very intelligent guy who blew my mind in 3v3 games. Everytime I hear of the sun god, I will think of the greatest clan leader on warlight, who despite his struggles early on, preservered and turned his clan from a laughingstock into a clan full of young players with the drive to be great. Everytime I hear someone say master, I will think of a high school senior who will never lose his love for warlight and who I would consider my best friend on warlight. Everytime I hear brazil, I will think of a man who had a great accent and was one of the nicest players on warlight. When I hear 101, I will think back to a great group of guys that I will greatly miss.
And last of all, everytime I hear of a war going on somewhere in the world, I will think of warlight and remember all the good times I've shared with all of you! So yes, thank you all for the memories, I wish you the best of luck in the future and hope to meet you guys in heaven someday :)
