Hi, this is my progress so far on my first ever map. I have been using inkscape because that was what was recommended.

Got some borders for my bonuses but I'm not sure if I want territories or single territory bonuses. I think it is too big of a map for that though so I may need to join some of my bonuses together to make space. I would have made straight lines instead of curves, but it makes the map go weird and I'm too lazy to fix it and I'd need too many more nodes anyway to keep the detail to bother doing it.

Anyway, tell me what you think. The map isn't based off anything in particular, I just decided to get creative!
I'll try to work on it more tomorrow when I get back from school.

You should add some empty space in the bottom so easier to select.
I really love mountains and lakes in a map. It is a way to make it more interesting.

Republic of Macedonia is interesting to play. +Presentation and + Bonus System.


It depends what kind of map you want to make. If it is RolePlay, you will prob. want to make a few continents and do a distribution based on Kingdoms.

If it is 1v1, the map ought to not be too large. There are different templates for competitive 1v1 like multi-attack, 2 defenders, 1 defender...



For team games, you will probably want to add a few chokepoints and make distinct zones. The map is cool but it looks a bit random.

Thanks for the reply and the links. I was thinking something similar to the Macedonia map but the Middle Earth one might be good to think about as well.
I suppose that my map will be more of a team game or ffa map so I'll try to work on making more distinctive zones.

Edit: I just reduced the number of bonuses by over 100 so I'll start working on territories and see how that works out. I mainly just combined some of the smaller ones together.
