The American Football team known as the New England Patriots lose, and most of the nation cheers. It was satisfying seeing the Eagles cockblock them in the Superbowl.

The use of the Patriots' own trick play against them to score a touchdown was most delicious, as well.

i would say that there is far more balence on who players root for in football than in other sports, say, baseball. I think new england accounts for 1/30th or so of nfl fans. That isnt "most".

There is quite the bandwagon for certain teams, like the Pats and Steelers. In any case, you are right. The great majority of the country is sleeping happy tonight.

Best part of all of this is the Philly cops arrested 0 people after the NFCCG celebration and just 3 people after the Super Bowl celebration.

3 total arrests over 2 nights of people literally trying to tear down the city.

Lol Pats are the most inscrutable team in any sport. Their HC spends like 3 minutes a week seriously talking to the public about football strategy, and it's buried somewhere on their website that no one visits.

Being on the record for cheating might have something to do with it.

The fact that they are a good and disciplined team yet can't seem to not cheat grinds some gears.

The Pats fanbase is noticeably more obnoxious and annoying online than most other NFL fanbases, which is arguably the most volatile fanbase in existence.

Then there's the hate that comes with being successful.
