Hey guys, this topic comes up a lot, people say "What should I do in X situation?"

Sometimes the response is "In this situation the best thing you can do is flip a coin."

Yet often people don't "believe" this answer, convinced that there must somehow be a better one and just thinking we are joking.

I came across this video recently which covers really well this topic though, and I think it may help a lot of these people understand why it's such a good option! It may also be useful for helpers to reply with this video rather than spending ages explaining :)

I don't think it covers the rationale any better than most forum posts have in all honesty. Nothing groundbreaking, revolutionary, or exceptional about that video.

The general idea is: If you can safely beat someone, do so, don't take risks, wait for them to make errors, and then punish them when they do.

If your opponent is more skilled than you, that's when you benefit most from weird strategies. Some strategies bring your and your opponents chance of winning closer to 50%. If your initial win chance was otherwise 80%, that's a bad thing, but if it was 20% then that's a good thing.
