I'd like to pick templates, if people play again. There are some good new maps worth playing. The purpose of the 20 tournaments was to play good/great underplayed maps that involve a good deal of strategy (and not play 1v1 or 2v2 Medium Earth until after exhausting all other possibilities) in order to challenge top players to think...And then JSA picked the maps played all the damn time.

Why make a special tournament if the templates don't have anything special, unique, novel, interesting or fun about them? People can play the ladders if they want redundancy.

Anyway I like to be in [20]c I'm trying to lower my games now. So when this comes around I will be in good form. Because tbh I don't give a shit at the moment, I'm happy with my maps. If I get in I'm sure it will improve my game more. 25th best in the ladder and shown i can beat top players. If you have guys for [20] c fair enough.

Qi you could use my new Italy map ;)

Ok so it's official - today a group of people started working on the league. It seems some major changes to the event are going to happen next season, so stay tuned :)

i would play if qi picks the templates.

unless it's those sucky ones he sometimes does where you can barely get any income at all and is mostly won on picks.

reason i never bothered signing up before was disliking Strategic ME 16% enough on the ladder to not want to play it anywhere else on a regular basis.

I agree. That is why I left promo league. We already have ladders, clan league, promo league, etc playing the same strat ME templates. That is why my clan challenge league has a variety of templates (but that doesn't help people like ps who think clans are not cool).

If it is something different, I am up for it.

[20] from the beginning was as Qi said - JSA made a change - but it was a bad one. I'm all for Qi's template suggestions.

Please invite me to play (in whatever league you think I belong Fridge, I trust your opinion). If you want my input on templates let me know. If you are looking for alternative ones, please consider my Sanctuary map, and my Great Lakes map. In fact, I will invite you to my test game on that one so you can get a better look at it.

Yeah, version 1.1 of the Italian Renaissance (when the Roma connection is fixed) will definitely be used for 1v1s or 2v2s.
