My school has me do the most trivial shit, it's really stupid. Given that the main reason for schools are learning

Trivial shit= shit that doesn't relate to anything and/or misses the point/purpose and/or simplifies the implications.
Normies today are too ignorant and mind to discuss anything even nearing the realm of philosophy. The only things that my school didn't sugarcoat were 9/11, Hiroshima/Nagasaki, Holocaust, and the Bataan death march. They never even mentioned the absolute horror of Nanking.

I never said that they were related to it. I meant meaningful conversation which is *near* the realm of philosophy. Just a simple conversation about the morality of it, the consequences, the cruelty of human nature, and why order is preventing us from becoming savages.

I'm labelled as "gifted and talented", but nothing worthy has come of it, except for once. It's just become a tag that appears on the teachers' rosters as far as I've experienced. I remember having to take a test for this when I was about 13, and from then it granted me admission into a special program in a middle school called "Enriched Honors". During middle school was the only time I was actually able to play that advantage. Via another test, I managed to skip ahead in math to where I was doing IB level geometry in 8th grade, but once I entered high school, all the advantages were gone. I kept the math credits so I am ahead of the majority of my peers in math in HS, but elsewhere, I'm equal to all other students in the APDC (AP/Dual Credit) classes I'm taking. Some of my peers lack the titles, but still perform just as well or better in class than I do. That's led me to believe that the title is meaningless to an extent. Only people with the opportunity to test in managed to snag the title, leaving some who qualify to be left without any sort of title to their name, despite being bright.

See, the trick is to go to a private school or move to a relatively rich neighborhood so that all your teachers past sophomore year have PhDs.
