It will go down as the most iconic Marvel film, I think. There are a few character interactions I was not a particular fan of, but overall this movie is the shit. Best film in the superhero genre.

Thor scenes were best scenes.

Having read the comics, I like how they chose to end it (and I've got a pretty good guess of how the next one will end- that scene's going to be just as iconic). The revamped Thor has worked out well. Hoping they'll give bigger roles to Black Panther and Captain America next movie, although I fully expect (not from the comics, so this isn't a spoiler- just my own guess) that they'll have Cap and Tony reconcile next movie 'cause y'know, existential threat and all.

Also looking forward to Danvers/Captain Marvel next year.

I'm still awed that nerds took over cinema so blatantly. Go back 10 years and tell someone that the biggest movie event of 2018 would be involve Thanos beating up a bunch of comic-book superheros and henchmen with names like Ebony Maw. Used to be, you cared so much about stories and characters like this, you were 100% getting shoved in the lockers between class periods. Comic shit should be thrown in the fire but I did watch David Stewart's review of it and the video where he exposed the fallacies in the film dealing with overpopulation and the villain's morality. He argues that the villain isn't justified for killing half the population to prevent overpopulation because overpopulation doesn't lead to extinction it just leads to a reduction back to carrying capacity and such a scenario wouldn't result in the death of half the population so the villain is killing people who wouldn't have died in all likelihood and furthermore is stripping the population of its lights who would fair well in a natural famine but are killed indiscriminately when some asshole decides to play god. Also the villain would have to murder half the population every so often to prevent overpopulation.

Thanos literally wants to get laid by Death. He's also unambiguously the bad guy in the movie. I don't want to spoil the ending, but if Marvel wanted you to sympathize with his ideas they wouldn't have had the movie end the way it did.

Your YouTube reviewer completely ignores any and all conflict that would arise on a planet that is stricken with famine and a lack of all resources in general. A scarcity of that caliber would undoubtedly bring the rest of the Four Horsemen into the picture. War, Death, Plague, and the original Famine would then lead to ages upon ages of suffering, and no guarantee that the population would recover. That is exactly what happened to Titan. The goal of Thanos is to rid Suffering from the equation completely. With a snap of his fingers with all Infinity Stones, he can wipe out half the population instantly so that they do not suffer in death, and let the half still alive flourish and actually live, rather than survive.

All those films suck, its the same shit over and over. You have to be a fucking sperg to get anything out of that shit.

Not true. Overpopulation as an isolated event causes regression back to carrying capacity. The choices made by intelligent species when such a cataclysmic event occurs is a different story, and one that you simply discard for sake of your vendetta against anything hero-related in film. I responded to the argument. It's narrow-minded and stupid. Doesn't want to look at everything a planet-wide famine would cause, and ignores Thanos' main goal to end suffering, ei. avoiding a planetary famine and all conflict that comes with it.

I just got back from watching it. I went in knowing that Thanos wins and that his plan was to wipe out half of earth.

1. 2/3rds of the movie is comedy which is very weird for the ending.

2. I didn't like the comedy all that much but I liked the ending.

3. The reason I think this movie was so successful is because the normies don't understand that nobody stays dead in a comic book.

There used to be a saying "No one in comics stays dead except for Bucky Barnes, Jason Todd, and Uncle Ben." and recently new authors have brought back all 3.

Gonna have to disagree with you there. Thanos is a close-quarters destroyer, but that's all. Sure, he has the infinity stones, but he can only use one of them at a time. Even so, the fights are lopsided enough as it is.

Even when he does get hit, it does next to no damage to him. I don't know which fights you are referring to. He killed Loki and destroyed the Hulk in the first 10 minutes of the movie and manhandled the Avengers on Titan until they jarred his gauntlet, then resumed stomping them into the ground after he won the tug of war. His biggest wound came from Thor's ax. His second biggest wound was a small scratch on his face.
