Greetings everyone, thanks for taking the time to check out my thread.

Essentially, the title says it all. I've been playing Warlight for some months now, mostly 2 v 2 public games with a real life friend. We eventually reached a point where we had twenty game win-streaks, and decided to move onto ladder games against more experienced people.

Unfortunately, I've overestimated my abilities (particularly in 1 v 1), and am losing far more often than I can comfortable with. I reckon the best way to correct this is with practice, so here's me asking anyone with a degree of skill if they're interested in a game. Regardless of who wins, I would appreciate any feedback and tips based on how the game unfolds.

Cheers! :)

I am erratically good and bad, and I love to give dubious advice based on my lack of expertise, so I'd also be down for a game.

I'm alright so you could invite me to a multi day.

I also would love to play good players, but the problem is that as a non-member I cannot create games without 75% luck so if anyone "average" would be willing to play please invite me to a standard mutliday

Bad practice wont make you better. You need to understand why you lose the games you do and how to avoid making the same mistakes in future games. In our game http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=2150071 you made a few mistakes before the game even started.

Its not good to stack all 3 picks in the same area of the board (sometimes Asia is worth the risk). Stacking all 3 picks for the same territory should never be done.

Playing on at a disadvantage your best chance at a comeback was to eliminate me in East Africa at all cost. On turn 7 the game was over.

With practice I suggest watching some games of top players. Try to understand each players first 6 picks and understand how they affected the game. Here is a good place to look http://warlight.net/LadderGames.aspx?ID=0.

Worlddomination, when creating games, click the "small" in the "built-in Multiplayer template" Then choose "Strategic 1v1". This template has all the correct settings exactly the same as the 1v1 auto game and the ladder 1v1. You do not need to be a member to create it.
