Random students at Stanford college were taken and randomly assigned to be prisoners or guards in a fake prison. Then the "guards" started acting more aggressively and torturing the prisoners while the prisoners started acting more meek and timid.
Communists, Leftists, SJWs, and most especially Anarchists love to cite this famous experiment to show that hierarchies turn normal people into monsters and that hierarchies need to be abolished. My Psychology 101 teacher compared the "guards" in the experiment to police officers in real life.
Well, it turns out it was all a fake. If you hear your Psych 101 teacher citing this experiment then talk to her after the class and explain to her that her information is out of date. Textbooks need to be changed. No doubt, people will continue to still cite this experiment in daily life.
This is just a reminder that science can be faked and we should be extremely skeptical. I can't wait until the majority of scientists wake up to modern day hoaxes like Climate Change.
EDIT: I understand that leftists out there won't accept any news source that is not "certifiably woke" so I found the Vox article.
