Do you guys go to bed on a strict schedule for example 6am-8pm?

Wondering because my schedule is very sporadic to say the least.

You need to buy melatonin which is pretty cheap. You can get it at Walmart. I used to stay up late and sleep in and miss class.

For me, if I take 1 mg of melatonin at 9 pm then I will feel very tired at 10 pm and can go to bed.

However, if you are used to going to bed at 4 am then you might want to start out by taking a 3 mg at midnight or a 1 mg at 3 am and take your melatonin a half hour or 1 hour sooner each night to get your sleep schedule back on track. Also, it will wear off after an hour and a half so try to time your pill perfectly.

The weird thing is that if you take too much, like 9 mg, then it makes you paranoid so watch out for that.

Other things that you can do to make yourself more tired

1. Sex
2. A hot shower
3. a cool room (it is hard to go to sleep when you are sweating)
4. a full stomach (although going to bed on a full stomach will make you gain weight)

Once, you have worked yourself down to a time and dosage that you like, then you should try to slowly wean yourself off of Melatonin or take as little of a pill as possible. (you can break it in half and fourths). While Melatonin will make you get more sleep, it will also make you more tied throughout the day so taking as little as possible will help mediate those effects.

I don't need to take Melatonin anymore because I switched from concerta to strattera but I highly recommend melatonin.

Having a strict schedule is essential for psychical and physical health.
If you want to be successfull in school, business life or sports you need to have such a schedule. Of course, breaking out of that cycle is possible and not necessarily bad at the exact same day but no person can handle that over a long period of time.
However, sleeping time differs between ppl and quality of sleep is also important.

Just google how professional sportsmen are sleeping.

I usually sleep from 11:30 PM to 7 AM.

Fun fact: Intelligent people tend to go to bed late, and intelligent people are often not too successfull for that reason, because they are missing energy. But if you go to bed late, that doesn't mean you are intelligent ;-)

Wrong, wrong, and wrong. I have a pretty lax sleeping scedule. Uni gives me that. I switch from nocturnal, to normal scedule in a matter of days, with no side effect at all. I am physically healthy, and as far as I can tell mentally too.
Stop spreading those lies. Society tells us a strict sleeping scedule is required, but thats not true.

I would love if society would tell us that, but sadly it doesn't.
If you continue like this, you will never know if you probably would be much more successfull with a healthy sleeping schedule.
I'm not spreading lies, lol, just use almighty Google.

I normally go to bed at midnight or 1.30 am and wake up between 8 and 8.10 am. Don’t even need an alarm to wake up.
