I am in a 1492 Diplomacy game with Murk's Seven-Year's War map where the following is going on: I'm playing the Crown of Aragon, EMILIO is playing Savoy (Piedmont, Genoa, and all of the little Italian states), and LASAGNE is playing North Africa (Morocco, Tunis, and Algiers). A Crusade is currently going on against LASAGNE, so I declare war on him. Then, EMILIO declares war on me over Sardinia, an island I have that he wants, meanwhile I've expressed interest in his Corsica. My planned assault on LASAGNE fails due to a grave logistical error, and due to a two-fronted war being on the horizon, I begin to make negotiations, which include EMILIO and I not attempting to take each other's land. He rejects this and any negotiations I make in which I keep Sardinia (I diplomacy carded him to stall for time). Then, LASAGNE pushes me up and out of Sardinia, so I decide to play smart and gift the half of Sardinia I had to EMILIO, knowing he'd turn against LASAGNE over the island. Then, EMILIO tells me he'll negotiate with LASAGNE over Sardinia even though he outright declared war on me for the same parcel of land, and then he gives LASAGNE Corsica even though he should be declaring war on LASAGNE. I then go on a rant on how hypocritical and stupid this is- a Catholic country (EMILIO's Savoy) being harsher with a Crusader (my Aragon) than with the target of a Crusade (LASAGNE's North Africa)- and then people bring up the possibility that LASAGNE and EMILIO are the same person because they're apparently always on at the same time and neither has confirmed or denied this in addition to other reasons, but EMILIO told me they're friends. Still unsure, I decided to ask the general Warlight forum if they know about whether EMILIO and LASAGNE are the same person. That's where you come in.
