I can't seem to find any mention of how to invite people to the Warlight.net and have them show in your Invitation Network. Do you just give them the site in general and it asks if you were referred? I can't really remember back to when I did joined.

I search the forums, the wiki, and clicked on every link in the top navigation on thist site. I didn't see any explanation anywhere (this should probably be added in the "Community" > "Invitation Network" section.

When creating a game there is an option to invite new people and you just enter thier email.

Hmm, it looks like I accidentally deleted the page that had the explanation for this. I'll add this back in the next release, thanks for reporting it!

The answer is you can either invite them directly to a game by e-mail, or use your general invite URL. I'll add the general invite URL to [this page](http://warlight.net/InvitationNetwork.aspx) in the next release, which should be this weekend.

Uh oh, new release! Obviously, I am a fan of all the hard work you put into the game, Fizzer, but these updates are always TERRIBLY timed, at least for me. It seems everytime me and my friends have a Sunday afternoon Warlight party(GMT +8, we are in China, there is an update that kills an hour. No worries, tho, I will make sure we have plenty of booze to tide us over for the 30-60 minutes.

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that most updates from here on out won't cause any downtime. Thanks to the [backwards compatible messaging protocol](http://blog.warlight.net/index.php/2012/02/backwards-compatible-protocol/), updating will usually only cause a few seconds of downtime and you probably won't even notice.

The bad news is that this particular update this weekend is an exception to this. Since I'm upgrading the database from Postgres 8 to Postgres 9, it will need to be down for longer than usual. I think I can get it done on Saturday, so your Sunday won't be impacted :)

I pick times for downtime based on when the fewest people are playing WarLight. This is around 1am on weekends.

Fizzer, you need to provide a timezone.. 1am on weekends is a completely different time for half your subscribers, lol

Hey no worries man. I know you are on W Coast, and the vast majority of players are in the US or Europe. By all means, if we in the far East have to put up with a bit of downtime, it is all good. I was just moaning and groaning. Glad to hear that after this time updates won't affect the servers. As far as I know, tho, midnight on Saturday (for you) is about 2pm here. Keep up the good work man, my "complaint" really shouldn't be taken as such.
