Because it's ironic when people who don't believe in rights aren't given rights. When you throw people in the gulag you yourself will end up in the gulag in short time. This makes us lose sympathy for Communists when their own system consumes them.

Communists want to spread communism to every corner of the world through violence and violent revolution.

I have yet to meet a communist, online or offline, that believes communism can be achieved without bloodshed. They have all dehumanized their enemies to the point that they believe the workers at McDonalds should rip the heart out of their boss and be praised for it.

They want to use state violence to collective farms and when comparatively wealthy peasants like the Kulaks (working class people) resist then they are killed wholesale. These are not people with a respect for human rights or human dignity.

Socialism (the transitional phase to communism) also destroys the environment. 90% of Poland's fish population was wiped out by Socialist environmental policy. Chernobyl irradiated hundreds of square miles of Ukraine and Belarus making it unlivable. While the US tested our nukes on uninhabited pacific islands, the Soviets tested their nukes on their own land and there remains many heavily contaminated stretches of land in the former USSR. The worst period of ecological devastation in eastern Europe was just before the Iron Curtain came down.
