From another account. I screwed up this ladder run from some nasty boots, and I want to join 1v1 ladder on another account but I'm worried I could get in trouble if the games aren't expired or something like that? I laddered as Meta Knight some time ago, and then this account a bit more recently, but I want to ladder again fresh from another account. Do I have to wait? And if so how long may I have to wait? :C

You wait until all the games on your old account are expired. Takes five months from the finished date of your last 1v1 ladder game on that account.

Play ladder from account with unexpired game. Or wait till all games expire.

Yes Maayan I did not know about the rule at the time. However when I found out that I had to wait, I reported myself too, so we both reported me and I thought it was my fault for getting warned.

If you are not active on both accounts how does it matter?? The only "conflict of interest" I can see is:

(1) you face yourself on the ladder (and so get a free win)
(2) if you deliberately play easy with one account against people who have beaten you on another account, so that their rating goes up and your favorite account's rating does not get hurt as badly.

But as long as you are not actively playing on one account, it should be perfectly okay if you have spare non-expired games remaining. If you want to join the ladder from another account, I would just go ahead and do it. Most times, those who cry about "fair play" on technical points are self-righteous individuals with very little morals themselves.. so there is no point in listening to them. The important thing is to not look at it technically: Just ask yourself "Am I cheating?". If the answer is "no", then go ahead. In your case I see absolutely nothing wrong with joining the ladder from another account..

EDIT: Unless it is a rule by Fizzer in which case you should follow it... (which doesnt make sense to me why he wants such a rule, but hey, maybe I am wrong and he has such a rule). It makes sense to disallow alts to "simultaneously be on the ladder", but when one is no longer active I would doubt Fizzer would have issues...
