I'm not so sure he didn't know, it's a real big coincidence that his first 2 picks were exactly in the 50 bonus. I think he's more angry about the fact that he only got 1 pick in the bonus area. And now he's doing this whole charade to try to end this game.

the thing is this is not the first post complaining about Poseidon modifying bonuses to huge lengths a moral for us all read settings all you are screwed

Haha he got quite angry that everyone didn't immediately begin to join his cause. He complains about lack of community, yet he clearly knows nothing of the forums. If he did, he would have known the reaction crying about changed bonuses tends to get.

i meant to add 2 high bonuses and that's what i try t do every game. or even make the bonuses based on the number of territory an area has.

For example, on the u.s. state map, i made the north west 3 armies per turn because it had 3 territory spots.

Poseidon... in the future, if you are going to make such changes to bonus values I recommend you advertise that fact in the name of the game and/or the game message. By not mentioning it makes you appear to be 'cheating' and attempting to win via deception.

like some of the earlier followers said, u should read the settings. But i see your point. I meant to add a second big bonus though. I'd like to make a point though.

If you can't read the settings like a good War-Light (great game!) gamer that's not smart in a Multi-day game. Then there was the full distribution in the game so it was easy to pick. Also it is clearly visible on the map, as a smart war light gamer, LOOK AT THE MAP! And finally, i could only get 1 territory to start with so it would take me at least 2-3 turns to take the bonus. Since I'm pretty sure "Jim" had a territory there why did he not get the bonus? Then why did he make me feel guilty when this was about 40% his fault and make me surrender, vote-to-end, and take all my armies out of that bonus so he could have that area?

1 - He didn't make you do anything. You chose to do everything that you did.

2 - While the responsibility rests with the players to check the settings prior to joining the game, it is still deceptive to act as you did without making your intentions clear. It is seen as a means of duping other players in the hopes they won't catch on and providing you with an easy victory.

3 - You are assuming that everyone who plays this game is smart and attentive. That is clearly not the case.

4 - This would all have been avoided had you made a note in the game title to check the setting.

well there was an austria hungary where you changed the bonus to 50 and another one i forgot

i did not know there was a map for hungary and im pretty sure if there is i didnt play it

Frankly I'm not sure who out of Jimbo or Poseidon comes off worse here, but I suspect Poseidon is just edging it out with his air of aggrieved innocence. If you're a settings weasel, fine, we can't stop you doing it; but don't try and justify it.

Btw, the cheaters name is ppqq22, when i played this game i did not realize it was rigged until i got the rigged bonus by coincidence

no such thing as coincidence rigged or not if the rest were all x10u still would have won

hippo.. since no one on the hosts team *except* you went anywhere near that bonus.. you were either working with him towards this cheat, or this cheat was possibly an accident.. *honestly, think how easily it is to click 00 instead of 0, when changing dozens of bonuses to X0*
the link shows little/no evidence of intentional rigging, although if there was any effort by the supposed rigger would of been more effective then the usual complaints about obvious changes.
