Google is taking steps to kill off Flash in the latest version of Chrome. See https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2018/08/chrome-69-will-take-the-next-step-to-killing-flash-roll-out-new-design/

If you still play Warzone in Flash mode, and also use Chrome, you have to unblock it by clicking the lock icon to the left of the address bar.

"obligatory Firefox > Chrome anyway comment"

Yeah, the slower browser is clearly superior. Who wants speed anyway?!?

@TheLastKiss there’s barely any difference in speed between Firefox 55+ and Chrome.

Won’t be long until Firefox removes support for Flash as well.

There's not a massive difference in speed between "any" two browsers for most tasks. That doesn't change that Opera, Safari, and Chrome are all faster than Firefox.

Firefox was very briefly the fastest for a short time last year when "Firefox Quantum" launched, but it has already since fallen back into its usual spot at the back of the pack alongside Edge and IE.

I just updated to FireFox 62. It runs much faster.

I converted to Chrome about 15 months ago because FireFox was next to impossible on the new desktop computer I got.

Right now, FireFox 62 opens up in 2 to 3 seconds. The worst issue I had last year was that NetFlix would give me 3 or 4 "non-responsive script" warnings before the home page would load. Now it takes about 10 seconds.

But now I've got Chrome customized the way I want and all of my old extensions no longer work on FireFox, so I'll stick with Chrome until it gives me problems.

Wtf Chrome. Google stop trying to remove things that don't need to be removed, it's dumb.

When I was young, you'd have people actually defending IE in this kind of discussion...

The times *are* changing to the better.

Chromium user (with Chrome as backup mostly for streaming, and Firefox popping up every now and then when I click a link in a Skype chat, because Skype apparently didn't get the memo when I changed my default browser.)

You still do. Edge as well. IE still has over double Edge's market share though despite Edge clearly being better.
