I think this is one of the most stupid reasons. Getting blacklisted because I play with the color "ivory". He complained about it while he wasnt even able to see me before.

I got blacklisted by a someone for not picking Ireland. Apparantly, being a good team player means I must let someone else choose where I pick.

i can see what is meant by it being hard to see you of course, but to black list you for that reason is illogical. But if he wants to blacklist you then he's most likely not worth the fuss over. is it that important to play him again?

Being blacklisted for booting people is, quite honestly, one of the worst reasons. You join a game with boot times. You accept this. You acknowledge that you will try your best to do your turn before the "vote to boot" expires. And you realise that it's possible people might not like you waiting so long, or think you purposely hold it up.
I was blacklisted for casting my vote in vote to boot. None of the other voters were blacklisted by the same person. He already made his move, but later on took it away threatening not to attack him and freely made moves in other games. He was holding the game up on purpose and we all agreed to vote to boot. Then he blacklists me because I was his main opponent.

So blueberry... not to sure when he didn't see you. Either when he had a failed attack into Brazil and there was magically a 3 "Neutral" there, or the next turn he put 100% into attacking that 3 "Neutral" and failed.
I say "Neutral" in quotes, because I assume that he thought your ivory color was a neutral.
Well played game, sorry you're on his blacklist... but then again, maybe I'm not. Is there a way I can have him add me to his blacklist so I don't have him joining my games ;)?

Darkruler, I disagree with you, if anyone boot in my games without first discussing it with everyone in public chat, I will blacklist them. The reason is simple, blacklist is a way to avoid playing with certain players. i do not want to play against players who boot other players without discussing it in public chat. If one boots when the game is 100% win, then I think it's acceptable. However, if the person boots because he is losing, or if the game is at a tie, then that's cheating, plain and simple. This behavior ruins the game, and should not be tolerated. I understand some people don't like waiting, however, by booting, you pretty much end the game, and to get a new game to start, you will have to wait probably, especially in real-time games. In multi-day games, i don't see the problem with waiting, do you seriously wait on the computer all day to wait for you opponent to make a move? If you wait a couple of weeks, what difference does it make for you? If you want to play a game, just make one, or join one. What's the point of booting your opponent?

I got booted in a real time with 2 min direct and 3 min auto. when I was down, he ran into the 2:10 range 4 or 5 times. I never went over 1 min. the third plaer in the game had a few turns in the 10 to 15 sec over range too.
then warlight crashed and had to reload. came in with 20 secs left, made my turn and clicked commit at very close to 2 min 2 secs, and was already booted.
i black listed the player as he did this when I had turned the game around and was very likely to win.
I black list players when they just aren't fun to play with.

AquaHolic, I get what you and others feel, but that was not the point I'm making. Blacklisting for using an in-game feature such as booting is like blacklisting for being unlucky in attack orders. It's part of the game.
While I will judge you for silly reasons to blacklist, I will not say you can't blacklist for the same silly reasons. For all I care, you blacklist me because I've decided to attack a stronger player instead of a weaker player (perfectly valid and legit). That's your choice. You can also blacklist me because the second letter in my account name is an a. If you want to, go ahead. However, I'm trying to make people aware of the silliness. If you don't want to play games with actual boot times, join those that don't have any, or extremely high ones. If you join a game with a boot time, you acknowledge and accept them. If you honestly can't make a single move in a timespan of three days, you probably shouldn't be on Warlight. Ironically, I might even blacklist people for continuously waiting until the last moment (technically, equally valid as booting them for going over the limit), though I don't really work with the blacklist.
Before you try and argue, please don't stop booting players you don't want to play with. It's entirely natural to have something against someone. The blacklist is an easy way of keeping these people away from you. All I'm saying is that it's silly to blacklist for something you acknowledged to. This generally only counts for multiday games, because I'm aware of how quickly people in real-time games boot others. That's not fun, and you should be able to wait a few minutes for others. However, three days? That's vastly excessive. You're expected to come online at least once a day and forgiven to come online once every three days. More than that, and you're just holding up the game (if done frequently).
I myself never boot without consulting others. My example was the vote to boot. I consulted with the remaining players in the game, and we voted to boot him. So, everyone agreed, except he himself of course. I also never boot the second a person is over the boot limit, unless he kept purposefully delaying until the last moment. I boot when it's clear the person is not going to come back, and I always warn beforehand. But if somebody doesn't warn, that doesn't immediately make him a bad player. Merely impatient.
With that discussion out of the way, blacklisting in itself can have various silly reasons according to yourself, but note that they're never silly for another person. Take for example the guy blacklisting you for having a certain colour. He obviously very much enjoys playing a certain colour. As such, he blacklists those that pick the same colour. Enjoyment increase found.
