well there's a lot more content compared to the warlight days

i dont mind at all and i think you can still play the game w/o these "packs" and you can also unlock practically everything with leveling up, which is more than fair.

or why do game developers need to make money out of their games..

I'd love to. I hate spending time working on ads, or purchases, or restrictions. I'd love to spend all my time adding fun features. But the Warzone servers cost over $1,000 per month just to keep running. That money has to come from somewhere or the game would cease to exist.

As you point out, before 2013, there were no ads or levels or points. During this period WarLight lost money every month. I was paying out of my own pocket to keep the servers alive. Back then, the cost was closer to $200 per month, which I could afford. There's no way I can afford to pay $1000 per month, so we use ads and memberships and such which generates enough to keep the game alive.

But Fizzer! I want you to make the game how I like it without ME spending time or money!

Fizzer is such a class act for keeping Warzone free to play. I didn't know about him paying out of pocket, but that just makes me respect him even more.
