If somebody already has your colour you have to choose an other (and only one seat is open). A lot of times when i want to choose my color somebody else comes in and the game starts without me. I think it is a good idea if you can choose a second colour, so when your colour is picked u automaticlly become your second choise so you are in the game. Of course your second colour will be chosen somethimes but you will miss a lot less games. I dont think you should choose a third colour.

i personally dont find it a problem and i dont always pick the same second colour. i pick one that complements my team or is completely different if FFA so there are no clashes

i have never experienced someone jumping in my spot while choosing colours but then again i dont play many real time games

Picking a color usually takes less than 5 seconds. Just have a secondary color in your head and there shouldn't be any problem.

Why would you be slow? Just have in your mind "If my color is taken, I pick green" or with any other color. Really, there is absolutely no reason why it should take over 5 seconds.

sometimes i like to go with something new and sometimes while am looking for it am too late also wouldn't hurt to have it

Ironheart, wanting to go with something new would be unattainable with this modification..

personally, I wish there was a way to change your color in games you've joined but haven't started, as always having the same color can be kind of monotonous..

might be better if you could set a fixed/default colour for your opponents / team mates. (I don't know if that's easy to code though or possible at all)

If my colour is blue, I could set:
opponent #1 = red
opponent #2 = yellow
opponent #3 = ivory
...

ally #1 = orange
ally #2 = green
etc...

I don't know how WL would record the game though, as everybody would have different settings

I can't go along with this idea, Chaos. My name wouldn't make sense if people see me as a different colour.

I totally understand you attacking me when we are enemies. It's a bit annoying when you attack me in team games, however.

Those who play lots of real-time games will agree with the OP, who has a good idea. In the half-second it takes to pick a color, someone else often fill the last open seat, and the game starts without you.

I agree, in RL games there has been countless times i lost a spot because i had to choose a second colour, while the person who filled my spot might have not.
