I played this game in a tournament recently:

and it started a discussion on what the longest games were. By that i mean not ones that are specificaly designed to be long (there was one i saw with massive neutrals).

So what are everyones longest and closest games ever?

Every time one player got too strong the other two made an alliance against them. Only at the end, once me and Neat made an agreement just to split the world did it change (then Cowmandude started with his phycological warfare). I only won in the end because Neat gave up.

Watch it sometime when you have a couple of hours to spare. It's very interesting how each player attempted to negotiate a world with lots of players.

Most players aren't willing to play out a big game like that, so they rush ahead and fight wars that they can't win, or give third parties the ability to gain strength and take over. Pandemonium doesn't see this effect, as each player there is pretty good. I would guess that there was also a lot of discussion among the players in order to keep balance alive. It's rather neat.

Maybe someone could start a new Pandemonium game with the same settings and invite the top ten players.

10 top players then 14 scrubs to get owned, I would volunteer to be one of the 14 owned scrubs. :P

Then we invite the top 23 players and Fizzer. All we need is a new Old World map.
