I've waited quite a long time to write this post. In short - I hate all the changes which were done between warlight and now.

New UI is big and looking like something made for 5 years old with all big rounded overgrown buttons. After quite few weeks I still have trouble finding some information - especially how many cards i have active. Previously i only had to pay attention to number, now i actually have to look and try to decipher this small icon like stuff. And even on full hd monitor I do have trouble deciding if I have a new card or not.
Animations are just annoying and probably too long.

Automatic phase shifts are also annoying. If this would be opt in/out than great. But this was forced upon me and I'm not a fan.

Removing of chat is also bad decision. I can't even talk on standard map. People I've played with had moved on and I don't have tools to connect to new ones.

I found myself playing less and less and probably will be phasing this game completely in near future. Looking on number of open games and how long i need to wait for a game on average, I'm not the only one :( .
This is sad cause I really like concept and old execution of it. I just hate current "mobile" UI.
IMHO this UI is what driving me away strongest.

Removing of chat?

Chat was never removed

1) You can revert back to flash if you want to ===> https://www.warzone.com/ChangeWebMode

2) Chat is not removed it is now at the bottom center with the tab "Chat"

3) The Website now matches the app design. I wouldn't call it a childish because buttons were made bigger, that is probably more convenient for alot of players.

4) The core game has not changed at all, I can still play the same exact games I did back in 2014. No settings were removed, it's definitely still "Warlight." (Well WarZone, now)

What are you looking at? Are you looking at the icons at the top? If you click those little cards on the top left of your screen your cardmenu will open. You get a big screen with your current cards and cardpieces. This works both on mobile and on pc.

You dont have to watch the animations. You can use the menu.

The Watch button goes through the orders one by one, playing the animations and showing everything (or if you have grouped deployments and grouped movements turned on for whatever reason, then it plays them all by one. Id definitely not advice using those settings though).
The arrows underneath it allow you to decide when you go to the next order. You can see every order individually at your own speed.
The show all button just shows you all the orders at the same time
and if thats still not fast enough for you, you can use the skip button to just skip it all anyways.

Agreed, id rather have it that I can decide when Im done with my deployments.

Chat wasnt removed. Its right there at the bottom:

General chat, team chat and private chat can all be found there. Chat is in the same location on phone

This is because most people moved to QM, a quicker way to get open games on a variety of templates. You should try it!

yes sora is right you can also play on ujs if you want but from my time playing ive found that flash is the fastest for me as its quicker for taking turns. but if your sick of warzone/warlight you can play eu4 as its kind of like the same thing ive been playing it as of late and with the extended timeline mod you can expand the play ability of the game more free of cost.

thats just my thoughts however.

Pay for the membership. The standalone app is quicker than flash. And hey maybe Fizzer will take your suggestions more seriously because you actually using that dough.

But overall, I like what warzone has become in terms of how it looks and plays. I disagree about the buttons. Saying the buttons look childish is wrong. If anything playing anything in flash is childish. It’s not 2008 anymore. Just because your rigs can only play games from that time, doesn’t make the game bad. It makes your computer bad.

Eventually all you guys gotta either A: oh the membership or B: get better computers from your parents.

Or C: a job

the full game you can still play the base game and buy the dlc slowly(which is what im doing) or get mods if you dont want the full 200$ but still want good content.

Victoria 2 is a better game than EU4 just saying.

HOI4 costs less for the full game and has a far better modding scene than either Vicky 2 or EU4

Huh? Usually EU4 costs 10€ whenever there is a sale (every few months). I guess then you need 2-3 DLCs about 10€ on sales each. What's the other 150 dollars, unless one wants to host MP games with unit packs and shits?

The highlighting has been moved. Go to Game -> Statistics and each player has an 'inspect' icon.
