Zaeban seems to be busy/unable to access the internet/or worse. Is there any way you can remove him from the ladder, Fizzer? It'd be a shame to have him lose any more games...

Makes my wins against him pointless with everyone getting boot wins against him now :/

Dazed, do you play on the ladder with a second account?
Clarification(if it is needed): I like Zaeban, and he might be the most consistent 1v1 ladder player ever (his lowest rank ever: 9th). If he's booted too much, it'd be a shame, like when Impaller was booted.

I think that it would be nice to have a feature where anyone who is inactive for X days (maybe 6 or 7) gets removed from the ladder automatically. If you are inactive for that long, you've already been booted from every game you were in, so there's no point in starting new games up until you return.

Duke, it could also be viewed as a means of maintaining the integrity of the ladder.
People to gain boot victories over top opponents could skyrocket up the standings undeservedly.

I am agreeing with Gui here, which I think you are too. It would be even better as a feature that happens automatically, rather then one that needs to be asked of Fizzer each time it happens. There are a couple of players on the very bottom of the rankings who get booted every game. A couple of them were really good at one time, but simply stopped playing without taking themselves off the ladder. Not only do they give out needless free wins (which I am sure is frustrating to the people who have to play them too), but they tank the ratings of anyone who lost to them.
Zaeban has been inactive for almost 6 days. By my suggestion, he would be auto-removed when he hits 6 days, which will limit his exposure to booting. He'll still get booted from five more games, but you can't be much more generous than that, considering the fact that people could use it to their advantage otherwise.

Duke, I knew you were. Was just giving another justification for implementing such a feature.

I agree, this should be implemented.
I'm interested to know though, how could this be used to someone's advantage Ben?

I was saying that if we made it any better than simply removing people from the ladder (no more future games), it could be abused. For instance, if we dropped someone from all games as a VTE or something. Since he would still be booted and still take a loss from every game he already started in, then I don't see a method for it to be abused.

Ah ok. I think we're in agreement that it should just be removal from the ladder with games in progress unchanged.

He's been inactive for less than 6 days... I've removed people from ladders before when it's clear they've forgotten about it, but normally only after 30+ days. 6 days could easily just be a short vacation and doesn't warrant intervention.

6 days is enough to be booted from every single game. Have you considered a revision of that policy?
What purpose does it serve to keep someone getting games after they have been autobooted from multiple games?
It seems the only drawback is that they have to enter the ladder again, but that doesn't seem like much of a drawback compared to the problems of leaving them on there.

I don`t play the ladder, but I think that inste of removing players after X days it would have been a god idea to remove players after Y boots (whitout stop)And if he are innactive of course.
Btw i hope Zeaben come back soon to (even tough I haven`t played him)

Has Zaeban forgotten about it? I doubt it. Has he lost access to internet or had a serious mishap? More likely.

There's also a good chance that he's burned out on the ladder and taking a break. Or, as Fizzer said, he could just be on vacation and is planning on coming back. I doubt that he is on vacation though, since it's a simple thing to remove yourself from the ladder before vacation, and then you only take a limited number of boots max, rather than leaving yourself on to take a larger number of boots.

He's been having problems keeping up with games for the past couple months due to personal reasons. He didn't go into details in our last game, but I assume something has happened that is keeping him from giving WL the attention he otherwise would. Probably would be best if he were removed from the ladders actually.
@Gui I was referring to the seasonal games, I've long since grown tired of the regular ladder :)
