i would prefer
1 teamates who communicate
2 teamates who follow the leader (even if it is not ourselves)
3 teamates who prefer to play defensively
4 teamates who want to stay close and help each other
5 teamates who try not to argue about who gets which bonuses (if one of them is in the same bonus)
what about you guys

I prefer a teammate with WM in their name, I've already taught them all I know so it's like I'm playing with myself, which coincidentally I'm doing as we speak.
But I kid around, I prefer teammates that are knowledgeable, communicative, and team oriented. A well run team will not squabble over bonuses, for a bonus well benefit the team no matter who has it. They will cover each others bonuses, plan attacks to split enemy forces, and they will listen to their teammates advice with an open mind.

I prefer team mates that are in the same room as I. It doesn't happen often to me, but what a joy when it does!
It's so much more fun, the limitation of the in-game chat becomes obvious. (Helps a lot in toilet run too...)
Using Skype is great too.
The addition of an 'audio' chat would surely be a change for the better in team games.
I find that playing with cards becomes a major problem with silent team mates.

i agree with mac and teammates if they are booted they should return to tell us why they were booted and also teammates should surrender when the team says so

Chatting is nice (and necessary) in team games. However, I don't really see how having voice chat would be particularly useful or worthy of the time needed to implement it. In FPS games, or fast paced RTS, sure. Typing in those sort of games takes too much time and can get you killed. But in a slow-paced game like WL, I don't really think it's too difficult to type. Of course, it would be a neat feature, but I would put it pretty low on the list.

I think the ideal teamate has to be 3 things:
Friendly
English speaking
(both esential for communication in team chat e.g. working out a strategy)
but the main thing is that they are good warlight players who can win

I completely disagree with the following of the leader though because in a team there should be no leader everyone should be equal

for sure "don`t get booted or are/ will be inactive" is the most important. who need a dead teammate?
I consider been boot as betray or escape from battle. That is horrible to be abandoned by teammate, Jim.

I like teammates who chat. Teammates who work together, and teammates who listen.
Also, I think it's important for one team-member to be some-what of a leader. Not necessarily to have every person play the game exactly how he wants to. But just to come up with plans to invade/defend. For example someone who can say "You invade from the North, And I'll come in from the south. We'll cut off his bonuses and split it up after he loses a significant amount of armies." Not over-powering and demanding all of the bonuses, but just enough to make the team cohesive. This also requires the other players to be good so that the 'leader' doesn't need to be controlling in order to win.

I enjoy team mates who communicate, even if it is just first turn chat to clear up who gets what. I don't mind a leader, either. Sometimes I learn a thing or two!
