Most of what she's saying is utter bullshit, but as a dane, I can confirm some of her points. School being free does make people entitled, and most people do take what's called a sabbath year, where young people travel, work or both. And high taxes do lead to people being less ambitious. Cupcakes is really not a big thing here, but it will do as a placeholder for unambitious lifegoals. The high tax rate also means that many end up on social benefits because the system is allowing them to make the choice. A couple of years ago a girl, around 14 years of age asked in tv: "When will I be old enough to get welfare?".

And it does bring along an interesting thought. I have for many years been fond of the idea of a citizen salary, where everyone just gets money (paid through taxes, of course) - And that's it. You can live off of it, but not comfortably. You will still be able to get free schooling and free healthcare, but there will be no extra money to gain from the system. I like it, as it will heavily reduce our gigantic public sector, From memory around 900.000 people are working for the public. Keep in mind, that we are roughly 5.8m. If this were to be implemented, we'd be able to save tons of money on ineffective systems keeping track of people in the unemployment system, etc. They could also be redistributed. But the question rises: Will this actually be practically applicable, or will we end up with too few people working, for this to be an actual success? The idea was originally thought out in a time, where our country were more homogenous. The values of our country is changing, especially our morals. We used to be a society of law abiding citizens. It is not longer so. Perhaps the idea is now a utopia.

The rest of what she spews is shit, but this is an old video, and for politically interested people, especially in Scandinavia, this has been discussed in depth months ago.

Is there a more ambiguous value in the secular utilitarian doctrine than socialism? Socialism has been applied to vanguards like Communist parties and Fascist parties left and right, to simple policy measures like government annuities, public schools, and "carbon taxes".

Any word can sound ambiguous in the mouths of the ill-informed. That does not MAKE the word ambiguous. Socialism is a very clearly defined work.
