I'm a fairly new guy, but I have noticed that pretty much every FFA is really a couple of guys that truce and fight all the other guys that play FFA standards. How does a tournament FFA get around that?

I might be interested in this but could you elaborate a bit on what you are planning to set up here? Like how many games are going to be played in each division and how many players per game there will be?
And what exactly do you mean when you say: "*You would play all of the FFA games possible in your division.*"

There would be 4 divisions. Each division would consist of 8 people.. There would be 28 games played:
There are six people in each game. If the 8 people in the division were named 1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and 8 these would be all of the people in each game: {1,2,3,4,5,6} {1,2,3,4,5,7} {1,2,3,4,5,8} {1,2,3,4,6,7} {1,2,3,4,6,8} {1,2,3,4,7,8} {1,2,3,5,6,7} {1,2,3,5,6,8} {1,2,3,5,7,8} {1,2,3,6,7,8} {1,2,4,5,6,7} {1,2,4,5,6,8} {1,2,4,5,7,8} {1,2,4,6,7,8} {1,2,5,6,7,8} {1,3,4,5,6,7} {1,3,4,5,6,8} {1,3,4,5,7,8} {1,3,4,6,7,8} {1,3,5,6,7,8} {1,4,5,6,7,8} {2,3,4,5,6,7} {2,3,4,5,6,8} {2,3,4,5,7,8} {2,3,4,6,7,8} {2,3,5,6,7,8} {2,4,5,6,7,8} {3,4,5,6,7,8}. The boot times would be 2 day vote, 3 day direct 5 day auto. Vacations respected. Max of 3 games at one time.
